Today’s review and giveaway is for the new Children’s book, Esther, the Belle of Patience. It’s the second book in the Bible Belles’ The Adventures of Rooney Cruz series by Erin Weidemann. The goal of these books is to teach young girls about inner beauty using prominent Bible characters and real life problems. How awesome is that?! Anyway, you can find out more about the book, read my review, and enter to win below.
About Esther the Belle of Patience
The adventures of Rooney and Mari continue in Book Two of the Bible Belle series. With the help of her angel Mari, Rooney has learned that she has the power to talk to God through the amazing story of Hannah; now it’s time for her to see how the Power of Patience can help her to wait and trust in Him.
As she watches Esther and her struggle to save her people, Rooney learns how to handle her own conflict on the soccer field by allowing God to lead her in His perfect time.
Join Rooney and Mari on another exciting adventure to becoming the best kind of superhero—a Bible Belle!

This book was fabulous! The pictures were beautifully illustrated. The story made it fun to read. And it was completely biblical (well, the story of Esther, obviously angels taking you places is just make-believe).
Rooney Cruz is a young girl who is having issues with another girl on her soccer team. Her personal angel, Mari, shows up and tells her that she has to see Esther in action. And that’s what happens, they look through a window that appears miraculously and discuss the scene while they watch the story of Esther unfold. The best part is that Rooney is able to take what she learned from Esther, and apply it to the issues she was having on her soccer team. Think Adventures in Odyssey meets Veggie Tales.
This is the first of Erin Weidemann’s new book series that I have read, but I will definitely be on the lookout for more. Bible Belles are a cute, yet modern, way to help girls relate the Bible to their lives.
